How to Find Us

The guesthouse is located in Oberau, in the district of Mühltal in the Wildschönau Valley. Nestled in a quiet setting on Klammstraße, right at the entrance to the Kundler Klamm gorge. Whether you arrive by car, train, bus or taxi, we are easy to reach.

By Car

Take the Inntal motorway A12 to the Wörgl-East or Wörgl-West exit. From there, follow the signs towards Wildschönau. After around 12 km you will reach Oberau, district Mühltal. Turn right towards Klammstraße / Kundler Klamm. After a few hundred metres, you will find Pension Waidmannsruh on the right-hand side (house number 221).

Approximate travel times: Munich 1.5 hrs • Salzburg 1.5 hrs • Innsbruck 60 min • Kufstein 35 min

Free parking is available directly at the house.

By Train

The nearest train station is Wörgl Hauptbahnhof (approx. 12 km away) - an important hub for ICE, Railjet and regional trains from Germany, Austria and Italy.

From Wörgl train station, you can easily take the Postbus line 770 directly to Oberau – “Mühltal Färberwirt” stop.

By Bus

The Postbus line 770 connects the Wörgl station with the Wildschönau (Niederau - Oberau - Auffach). The "Mühltal Färberwirt" stop is just a few steps (300 m) from the house.

With the Wildschönau Premium Card, the bus within the valley can be used free of charge for our guests.

By Plane & Taxi

The nearest airports are Innsbruck (approx. 75 km), Salzburg (approx. 130 km) and Munich (approx. 130 km). From there, you can continue your journey by rental car, train or transfer service.

How quickly will I receive a reply to my inquiry?

As a rule, we answer within 24 hours - usually even on the same day. On weekends or public holidays, it may take a little longer. If you have urgent concerns, you can reach us as quickly as possible by phone on +43 5339 8591.

What payment methods do you offer?

You can conveniently pay in cash, with a debit card/credit card or by bank transfer. A deposit is common for longer stays or during peak seasons - we will be happy to clarify the details with you personally.

What time is check-in?

Check-in is available daily from 2:00 p.m. If you arrive earlier, you are welcome to deposit your luggage with us and explore the surrounding area. Please let us know briefly if you arrive after 7:00 p.m. so that we can receive you personally. Check-out is until 10:00 am.

Is free parking available?

Yes, there is ample free parking available directly at the house. A reservation is not necessary.
